JOHN KACERE (1920-1999) was an American painter, and a founding member of the Photorealist movement. Originally an abstract expressionist, Kacere adopted a photorealist style in 1963. Nearly all of his photorealist paintings depict the midsection of the female body. He is considered one of the original photorealists, although he rejected the term. His paintings are in the permanent collections of institutions, including the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Portland Museum of Art, and the Speed Art Museum in Louisville, Kentucky.
Product Disclaimer: Please review the full description and photos. Lithographs may be plate-signed, hand-signed, or slab-signed and can include a COA (see images); edition numbers shown may vary from the one shipped. Pricing reflects signature type—hand-signed pieces carry a premium and are clearly labeled. 'After' or 'nach' indicates an authorised lithographic reproduction in the style of the named artist, not a unique original. For inquiries, please reach out to support@seuyco.com.
