Excerpted from the folio (translated from French), The unpublished compositions numbered from I to IV were specially made by Ren Magritte for this album. The compositions of the Domaine enchant is the lithography of the eight paintings of the mural of the Casino de Knokke; they were translated with the benevolent permission of Monsieur, Gustave J. Nellens. Justification of the draw: This album was drawn in CCCL examples on grand velin d'Arches, numbered from I to CCCL, plus some copies of collaborators and artist. All lithographs are justified by Fernand Mourlot.
REN MAGRITTE (1898-1967) Belgian surrealist artist who is well known for his thought-provoking images that take the perceptions of painting into another realm of reality. As synonymous with Surrealism as Picasso with Cubism, Magrittes work frequently displays a collection of ordinary objects in unusual contexts, henceforth, creating an illusion of new meanings for familiar objects. As stated by Magritte [in regard to his paintings]: visible images which conceal nothing; they evoke mystery and, indeed, when one sees one of my pictures, one asks oneself this simple question, what does that mean? Because of his unparalleled talent, Magrittes work has been exhibited throughout the world and today, remains of the most widely collected surrealist artist of his time.
Product Disclaimer: Please review the full description and photos. Lithographs may be plate-signed, hand-signed, or slab-signed and can include a COA (see images); edition numbers shown may vary from the one shipped. Pricing reflects signature type—hand-signed pieces carry a premium and are clearly labeled. 'After' or 'nach' indicates an authorised lithographic reproduction in the style of the named artist, not a unique original. For inquiries, please reach out to support@seuyco.com.
