Excerpted from the volume (translated from French), This portfolio, "The works and the days" of Hsiode, according to the translation of E.

Bergougnan, is illustrated with nineteen original etchings in black and four original etchings in colors of Jacques Villon.

The fifteen double-page etchings, including three in color, as well as the frontispiece in color, were drawn by les Ateliers Crommelynck, the seven single-page etchings in black by Georges Leblanc.

All coppers were scratched after print.

The Romain De L'universit Corps Vingt-Quatre was composed by hand and printed by L'Imprimerie nationale under the guidance of Georges Arnoult.

This book was completed to print for les ditions Verve on July 20, 1962.

This portfolio was drawn in one hundred and eighty examples on vlin de Rives, numbered from 1 to 180, and twenty examples reserved for employees numbered from I to XX, all signed by Jacques Villon. It was also drawn sixty suites including all the boards of the portfolio, numbered and signed by the artist.
